Assessment
 The CAASPP system refers to multiple assessments, including the Smarter Balanced Assessments for ELA and Math (SBAC), the California Science Test (CAST), the California Alternate Assessments (CAA), and the California Spanish Assessment (CSA). Students are assessed in grades 3-8, 11. Resources

 The English Language Proficiency Assessments for California are administered to English Learners annually in grades Kindergarten through twelfth. Students who are new to California may also be administered the Initial ELPAC based on the results of their home language survey.
